The Ultimate Colon Cleansing Formula

January 31st, 2009

Be careful not to abuse products with senna and cascara sagrada because they can cause lazy bowel syndrome. Also, some gastroenterologists think this is the reason for black colon – which has been seen in some patients having colonoscopies.

I recommend trying Renew Life’s Organic Bowel Cleanse (30 day supply). It contains natural fiber, proprietary blend of flaxseed, oat bran and acacia fiber yielding 1350 mg., 450 mg. of rhubarb root, 100 mg. blend of ginger root, fennel seed and other important ingredients that help heal the digestive tract while increasing elimination .

Also, I recommend Slippery Elm Tea or capsules which soothes inflammation and cleanses excess waste from the colon. You can also try slippery elm tea as an enema.

Chronic Fatigue/Epstein Barr Virus

January 31st, 2009

For chronic fatigue or Epstein Barr Virus I recommend an immune modulator like Moducare by Wakunaga of America Co., Ltd.; a good multiple vitamin by Mega Food. Drink Alvita’s Pau D’Arco Tea several times a day or Gaia’s Pau D’Arco Tincture.

Some alternative doctors believe the above-captioned is caused by parasites, therefore, I strongly recommend a product like Para-Gone by Renew Life. Follow the instructions on the back of box. Also, for energy (without harmful side effects) try Mega Food’s Adrenal Strength an /or Purple Cordyceps.

Of course, eat right. Stay on a diet rich in greens and natural whole grains. Keep away for sugar, white flour, fried foods, etc.

Get plenty of rest when needed. Try some massage therapy (light touch) and or Reiki therapy.

Chlorophyll

January 31st, 2009

Do you suffer from body odor or bath breath – try chlorophyll. Life Extension makes Chlorophyllin w/Zinc in caps or liquid or Chloroplex, which also comes in caps and liquid form.

Besides being a natural deodorizer chlorophyllin enters into the mitochondria, the energy producing organs of the cells where 91% of oxygen reduction occurs and where the majority of free radicals are produced (Boloor et al. 2000; Kamat et al. 2000). Chlorophyll has been shown to be a potent mitochondrial antioxidant that not only protects mitochondria from their own auto-oxidation (considered to be one of the major causes of aging), but also protects mitochondria from a variety of external chemical, biological, and radiation insults.

No other supplement came close to the ability of chlorophyllin to inhibit deadly gene mutations (Ong et a. 1986). The good news is that the price of chlorophyllin is so affordable.

For more information on the aforementioned go to www.lef.org

Follow suggested dosage.

Aloe

January 31st, 2009

Aloe has many healing properties and has been used for over 2,000 years. The fresh gel is used for sunburns, minor burns, as well as minor cuts. Mixed with water it becomes a juice for drinking, which may heal you internally. Keep in mind the latex part has a laxative effect.

Make sure you buy a quality brand that contains the Certified seal as a guarantee of aloe’s potency.

I recommend the following brands:

Herbal Answers, Lily of the Desert, or Solaray (to name a few).

Nature’s Way liquid or capsules

Nattokinase

January 31st, 2009

Nattokinase is an enzyme isolated from Japanese fermented soy food. It supports heart health, immune system and promotes healthy circulation.

It may work on an intracellular level protecting the mitochondria (our internal battery). Also, it may also help unblock arteries. Nattokinase by Doctor’s Best has 2,000 fibrinolytic units per veggie cap. What does this mean? It may help regulate fibrinogen levels in the blood (clotting factor).

I suggest using Doctor’s Best Nattokinase.

Mushrooms effect on Immune System

January 31st, 2009

Japanese have used mushrooms for centuries because of their healing properties. They increase NK (Natural Killer) cell activity, which inhibit cancer cells, protect the mitochondria and rev up immune system. They have been known to lower liver enzymes in people with hepatitis (increases interferon in the body naturally).

Some people may be concerned if they have an over-active immune system (e.g., lupus or MS)that these mushrooms overstimulate, however, they are known to modulate. They also have anti-viral and liver fortifying benefits.

I recommend Enzymatic Therapy Cell Forte Purple Mushroom Defense, Mega Food Purple Corn Reishi Antler or Maitake Gold by Natural Factors.

Mastic Gum

January 31st, 2009

According to Dr. Leo Galland, Mastic Gum has a long history of traditional use in the Mediterranean four digestive disturbances. In vitro studies that were done found it was able to kill H.pylori, the causative of stomach ulcers.

I recommend that your doctor checks your stool for antigens or and/or your blood for H.pylori antibodies.

The recommended dosage is 1000 mgs. 1 to 2X a day. Try Jarrow Formulas

Glucosamine

January 31st, 2009

Glucosamine is a natural occurring substance in the body. Glucosamine delays the progression of the disease and relieves symptoms even for weeks after termination of the treatment.

As most people know glucosamine is very beneficial for cartilage repair and joint health related to arthritis, however, some people are allergic to shellfish. There are several formulas available without shellfish.

I recommend Garden of Life’s FYI ULTRA ULTIMATE Joint & Cartilage Formula.

Green Lipid Mussel

January 31st, 2009

Try Green lipid mussel extract which may outperform drugs on its effect on inflammation (Cox2 inhibitor) and swelling related to arthritis. You can use it alone or add it to your Glucosamine Supplement.

By 1980 (after years of studies) scientists in the UK knew enough about the aforementioned to conduct a double-blinded study on patients with arthritis. Tests showed it reduced swelling by 79%.

I suggest trying FoodScience Sea Mussel which combine their product with alfafa leafs, which are loaded with trace minerals and cinnamon oil.

Topical Products

January 31st, 2009

The creams or gels that you are using may be effecting your cholesterol. Did you know that many companies use hydrogenated oils, fractioned oils, partially hydrogenated oils, and partially fractioned oils which can raise your cholesterol and or block your arteries.

One over-the-counter product for women’s dryness due to menopause actually is for vaginal insertion – I’d be afraid of the side effects. I would try natural products from Emerita.

Also, the absorption level transdermally varies in each individual depending on size/weight. I strongly advise using natural products with essential oils.

We have a full line of natural creams and oils from Aura Cacia, Avalon, Jason, Kiss My Face and several others.
